A recipe to go with this gourmet bread!
CrustWorthy Recommends: Shokupan French Toast
Serves 2.
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of CrustWorthy Shokupan
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp CrustWorthy Orange & Rum Butter
- 1 tsp Honey/Nutella
- Fresh berries, for garnish (optional)
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- In a pan on medium heat, add butter.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 15-20 seconds on each side.
- Place the soaked bread slices on the hot skillet or griddle and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. And REPEAT!
- Serve hot with honey/nutella and garnish with fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.

The shokupan is pillowy soft and has melt in the mouth texture to it. I made some creamy mushroom sandwiches with it.. simply delicious.
The portion of Shokupan was enough for 2-3 persons and taste was absolutely good, the way I wanted-soft and white. O loved it and would order it again too, though want to taste remaining varieties of Crustworthy as well (I have tasted 3 others so far and a few of their butters- and I liked them too)
Well baked tasty bread.
The best Shokupan I have ever tasted!
Thank you.
