CrustWorthy Recommends: Caramelized Onion Butter Pasta
Serves 2.
Ingredients:
250g pasta of your choice
2 tablespoons CrustWorthy Caramelized Onion Butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
2 butter-toasted slices of CrustWorthy Sourdough Country Loaf
Instructions:
Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
In a large skillet, heat the Caramelized Onion Butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onion to the skillet and sauté until caramelized and golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce and coat the pasta evenly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and butter-toasted sourdough slices.
