CrustWorthy Recommends: White Bread Vegetarian Bunny Chow
Serves 4: 
- 1 loaf of CrustWorthy White Sandwich Bread
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, 2 potatoes, 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 tsp jeera powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas (chole)
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Cut the loaf of white sandwich bread into individual serving-sized pieces, removing the soft inner portion to create hollow bread bowls. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat and add onion, ginger, and garlic and cook until brown and fragrant.
- Add the tomatoes potatoes and carrots, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the masala and mix well.
- Tip in the cooked chickpeas, mix, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the sauce has thickened.
- To serve, ladle the curry into the hollowed-out bread bowls and serve immediately.
