Serves 2.
Ingredients:
- 2 CrustWorthy Bánh mì bread rolls
- Sliced tofu, marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil, then grilled or pan-fried until golden brown
- Sliced cucumber
- Pickled carrots
- Sliced jalapeños (optional)
- Mayonnaise or aioli
- Soy sauce (optional)
Instructions:
- Slice the bánh mì bread rolls horizontally, leaving a hinge on one side.
- Toast the bread rolls lightly if desired.
- Spread mayonnaise or aioli on both sides of the bread rolls.
- Layer grilled or pan-fried tofu, cucumber slices, pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro leaves, and sliced jalapeños (if using) on one side of the bread rolls.
- Drizzle soy sauce over the filling ingredients, if desired.
- Close the sandwich and press gently to compact the ingredients.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful vegetarian bánh mì sandwich!
