CrustWorthy Recommends: Apple Cinnamon Butter French Toast
Serves 2.
Ingredients:
4 slices of thick-cut bread CrustWorthy Brioche or Challah
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons CrustWorthy Apple Cinnamon Butter
Butter or oil, for cooking
Maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
In a shallow dish or bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Spread a generous amount of Apple Cinnamon Butter on each side of the bread slices.
Heat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or oil to coat the surface.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture. Allow it to soak for about 20-30 seconds, then carefully flip and soak the other side. Make sure the bread is well coated but not soggy.
Place the soaked bread slices onto the hot skillet or griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the French toast from the skillet and place on a serving plate.
Serve warm with additional Apple Cinnamon Butter on top, and optionally drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with powdered sugar, or serve with fresh fruit.
